Announced last week at Gamescom, Tekken 7 will feature the returning series veteran Lee Chaolan, and his Tekken 4 alter-ego Violet will also make his return as a palette swap. Check out his gameplay trailer below. It was just announced at the 2016 Evolution Championship Series that two more characters will join Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. Katsuhiro Harada, Michael Murray and Mark "MarkMan" Julio were on hand at EVO, announcing that Bob will make his return, and with him debuts a new character, Master Raven. Bob returns with a rowdier, more rugged look, wearing tattered jeans and torn polo shirts. He is still the same agile big guy from before, with ridiculously flashy yet hard-hitting kung fu moves that will make Sammo Hung proud. Master Raven, Harada-san revealed on Twitter, is Raven's commanding officer, hence why she mirrors virtually all of Raven's moves from Tekken 5. Her look suggests that shes a cyborg ninja, but apart from that, nothing else has been revealed about her. Check out their gameplay trailers below. Bob and Master Raven will also be playable in the console version of the game when it launches in early 2017. Also, Harada-san unveiled the game's official arcade trailer. It's similar to the trailer they revealed at E3 last month, minus the blood effects and the quick-time event transitioning into actual battle.
Just when we thought Street Fighter's Gouki crossing over to Tekken 7 is the only blockbuster crossover announcement we'll hear this year, it looks like Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja isn't one to be outdone.
Just this past weekend, they published a teaser video revealing that a new character enters Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, and it's the sultry kunoichi from SNK's The King of Fighters series, Mai Shiranui!
In addition, they also revealed a new stage and a new set of character costumes based on Hajime Isayama's colossal hit manga Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)!
Mai is the fifth third-party character that joins the game, following Akira Yuki, Pai Chan, Jacky and Sarah Bryant from Sega's Virtua Fighter. Another guest DLC character, Naotora Ii, comes from another Koei Tecmo game, Sengoku Musou 4 (Samurai Warriors 4).
Koei Tecmo also developed a video game based on Shingeki no Kyojin, released in Japan last February. The English version will be released this coming August. There are still no official release date for Mai and the SnK costumes and stage. Check out the teaser videos below.
The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph we (I, personally) have all been waiting for is now finally official and is currently in the works! Director Rich Moore, who also directed Zootopia, made the official announcement yesterday straight from the Disney Animation Studios via Facebook live video, saying that he's returning to direct the sequel together with writer Phil Johnston as co-director. John C. Reilly, who voiced the titular character, also appeared in the live video wearing Ralph's fists--a dead giveaway that the sequel is a go. Sarah Silverman is also confirmed to reprise her role as Vanellope von Schweetz. In the first movie, Ralph, the "bad guy" of his arcade game, felt he didn't want to remain the bad guy forever. So he went to another game, "Hero's Duty", to get a hero's medal for himself, but it ends up in a disaster that even reaches the game "Sugar Rush". There he meets Vanellope, the "glitch" who turned out to be the game's main heroine whose programming code was compromised by an illegal character who stole her spot. The trouble Ralph caused at Hero's Duty also resurfaces at Sugar Rush, leading the game to crash and the illegal character to be exposed. Ralph sacrifices himself to save Sugar Rush, returning it into its original state, but Vanellope saves him just in time before he fell to his doom. In the end, he comes to terms with his role as the villain of his own game. In the end, he earns the respect of all his fellow game characters.
A number of characters from popular video games made cameos in the first movie, including Sonic and Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog), Zangief, Ryu, Ken, Cammy, Chun-Li and M.Bison (Street Fighter), Bowser (Super Mario), Clyde (Pac-Man) among others. This time in the sequel, where Ralph and Vanellope are set to jump out of their arcade world to wreck the Internet, who knows if we're going to be treated to our much-requested cameo by the one and only Mario. Wreck-It Ralph 2 is set to be released on March 9, 2018. Additional source: Oh My Disney If you were amused by the original John Cena prank call that sprung numerous "Unexpected John Cena" memes now flooding the Internet, then you're going to love this. "The Cenation Leader" teamed up with Cricket Wireless in a prank disguised as an audition to look for the most die-hard Cena fans. Each interview ends with the victims doing their best introduction of Cena, only for him to come out of the backdrop--unexpectedly. Watch below and be amused. 2K Games has revealed the official cover of WWE 2K17, and the latest cover Superstar is none other than "The Conqueror" himself, Brock Lesnar. Check out the official game cover below, as well as the reveal trailer, voiced over by Paul Heyman. Most of us should've already gotten a clue about "The Beast Incarnate" being the next cover Superstar with the previous trailer they released, revealing Goldberg as the game's exclusive pre-order bonus. It's also logical since it seems he's the only Superstar who shares the same level of hype with "Da Man", not to mention that both Superstars had once met in the ring at WrestleMania XX. The former WWE, UFC and NCAA Division 1 heavyweight champion had twice appeared in the covers of two WWE games: first in 2002 on WWE SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth, where he had a spot on the cover with Triple H, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and Booker T, and then in 2003 on WWE SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain, where he was the main cover Superstar. The WWE games used to be published by THQ, until they declared bankruptcy in 2013. Earlier this month, Lesnar announced that he will enter the Octagon one more time to face "The Super Samoan" Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9. Then he also returns inside the squared circle on August 21 for the 30th annual Summerslam. WWE 2K17 is scheduled for release on October 11 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Aside from hosting the Street Fighter V exhibition set between wrestling gamers Kenny Omega and Xavier Woods/Austin Creed, CEO 2016 also played host as Capcom unveiled the gameplay trailer for SFV's fourth post-launch character Mike Bison/Balrog. Check out the video below that gives a first glimpse of the re-imagined Las Vegas stage as well as the two remaining post-launch characters Juri Han and Urien. "The Crazy Buffalo" (should've been "Mad Bison" instead) is still the power puncher that he has been in his previous incarnations. He has been heavily redesigned, now donning an all-American-themed boxing entrance gear as if to imitate Steve Fox in his new costume in Tekken 7. He trades his Turn Punch for a new V-Skill, KKB. This V-Skill has him turn his body while moving forward, enabling him to dodge projectiles and special attacks when timed correctly and follow up with his own combos. His V-Trigger, Crazy Rush, has him blowing off steam (literally), allows him to string together special moves. He replaces his multi-hitting Ultra Combo with a one-hit, heavy-damage-dealing Critical Art, Gigaton Blow, which can be added as an ender to many possible combos. The official character art for Balrog, Juri and Urien have now also been revealed, along with alternate costumes for Balrog and Karin, and the new stage, Kanzuki Private Beach, featuring cameos from Tiffany and Hinata from Justice Gakuen/Rival Schools. Check them out. Balrog and Ibuki will be available to download along with the Story Mode, "A Shadow Falls", starting July 1. Juri and Urien will be playable in the story mode before their official release.
Wrestlers-slash-gamers WWE's Xavier Woods aka Austin Creed and NJPW's "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega finally delivered on their promise to settle the score with Street Fighter V, and legions of fighting game enthusiasts who were at the 2016 Community Effort Orlando gaming event this past week were treated to an entertaining exhibition match.
Austin played Birdie while Kenny played Alex, and they fought three-round matches on a race to five wins. In the end, Kenny beat Austin five games to two, ultimately breaking their 2-2 deadlock and having the right to be called the better man in their rivalry. Check out the video of their exhibition matches below, and then click here to watch their previous battles leading to this final round. The console trailer for Tekken 7 has just been revealed earlier today at the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo, and it was also revealed that the game will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Aside from the game modes introduced in the arcade version, Tekken 7 will also have a cinematic story mode that combines the familar Tekken gameplay with dramatic quick-time events and rich animated cutscenes, telling the final story of conflict between father and son Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima, the fate of the family matriarch Kazumi, and the involvement of Gouki/Akuma, the guest character from Street Fighter. Tekken 7 comes to the latest-gen consoles and on Steam in early 2017.
If the card for UFC 200 wasn't already big enough, it was announced last week that Brock Lesnar will return to the Octagon one more time!
Lesnar, who's still contracted by WWE, ventures back into the eight-sided cage after four years, and he will be facing "the Super Samoan" Mark Hunt.
The fight is just one of the blockbuster matches announced for the MMA pay-per-view, that also features the second fight between Daniel Cormier vs. Roy "Bones" Jones for the UFC World Light Heavyweight Championship, Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship, and the second fight between Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for the UFC Interim Featherweight Championship.
UFC 200 will emanate from Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9, a month before Lesnar is scheduled to reappear on WWE pay-per-view Summerslam.
