Namco Bandai has just released the version 1.01 update to Tekken Revolution for North American (Region 1) gamers yesterday, thus making the update available for all regions.
The new version heavily upgrades TekRev. The game now has a practice mode, new stages, more difficulty levels in the arcade mode, an updated PlayStation®Store that includes purchasable alternate costumes, "premium effects", and many more.
The update was released first in Japan (Region 3) on July 16, and then in Europe (Region 2) on July 24.
Another pending future update to TekRev is the fighting game debut of the female vampire character concept that is currently in the works.
Tekken God Katsuhiro Harada, along with the crew that run Tekken's official Facebook page, shared a poll regarding a new character that they'll include in a future update to Tekken Revolution. The choices include original character concepts that have been previously proposed but were never actually created, characters who have been part of Tekken's story but not as playable characters, like Tougou (Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign) and Shin Kamiya (Tekken: Blood Vengeance), and concepts as ridiculous as a flailing salmon.
The poll was closed on July 14; the votes have been cast, and the results are as follows:
But the voting didn't end there.
I have previously written about the updates on Tekken Revolution having only been released in Japan so far. As an update to that news, Namco Bandai has announced the release date of those updates in the West.
The players in Europe will get to enjoy the game's added features on July 24, while the North Americans will get them at the end of the month.
The update will include an enhanced arcade mode, a practice mode, raised rank and level caps, resettable character stats, alternate costumes, new Premium Effects, two new unlockable characters and the option to disable character enhancements in player matches.
Get ready for the next updates!
