Tekken God Katsuhiro Harada, along with the crew that run Tekken's official Facebook page, shared a poll regarding a new character that they'll include in a future update to Tekken Revolution. The choices include original character concepts that have been previously proposed but were never actually created, characters who have been part of Tekken's story but not as playable characters, like Tougou (Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign) and Shin Kamiya (Tekken: Blood Vengeance), and concepts as ridiculous as a flailing salmon. The poll was closed on July 14; the votes have been cast, and the results are as follows: But the voting didn't end there.
Universal Studios Japan has just opened their latest feature attraction last week. Biohazard: The Real (Westerners would call it Resident Evil: The Real) opens at the Palace Theater of USJ's New York area. It re-imagines the scenes and events of the Raccoon City incident in a five-to-ten-minute live-action shooting attraction. Visitors will be divided into groups of eight, equipped with 700-gram "model guns" armed with 30 virtual bullets. Their main goal is to shoot down zombies, monsters, mutants and other creatures and end the virus outbreak.
The attraction will be open for a limited time only. Man of Steel director Zack Snyder visited the Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con to drop a bombshell. He acted like he couldn't quite do it himself, that he called for the help of Harry Lennix. Lennix then delivered this quote: "I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come. In all your private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you." —Batman to Superman, The Dark Knight Returns And then this logo appears on the giant screen... It highly suggested that the Man of Steel movie will have a sequel, and it will feature Gotham City's Dark Knight.
The Marvel panel at the San Diego Comic-Con revealed exciting news about not one, not two, but six Marvel movies.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the filming of Thor 2 is almost done; concept artworks for Captain America 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy have been revealed; and The Avengers 2 gets its official title. Meanwhile, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to face a new enemy in his film's sequel, and the X-Men are set to revisit the past to correct the future. I have previously written about the updates on Tekken Revolution having only been released in Japan so far. As an update to that news, Namco Bandai has announced the release date of those updates in the West. The players in Europe will get to enjoy the game's added features on July 24, while the North Americans will get them at the end of the month.
The update will include an enhanced arcade mode, a practice mode, raised rank and level caps, resettable character stats, alternate costumes, new Premium Effects, two new unlockable characters and the option to disable character enhancements in player matches. Get ready for the next updates! Source: Tekken Revolution Official Site, Tekken (Facebook) Let the title of this article speak for itself; a one-of-a-kind, 9-foot-9-inch robot makes its presence felt at the San Diego Comic-Con! A product of the collaborative efforts and resources of WIRED Magazine, YouTube, Stan Winston School, Legacy Effects and Conde Nast Entertainment, the robot took 24 days to be built, according to the robot itself, when asked by Mythbusters' Adam Savage. Recently at the San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom made a surprise reveal: a new Strider game is in the works. The game is currently being developed by Double Helix. Here's the announcement trailer. As the third entry in the classic action-adventure series based on the manga by Moto Kikaku, this new Strider game marks Hiryu's return to his roots after Strider 2 fifteen years ago. It will be re-imagined in a 2.5D environment, featuring 3D graphics and non-linear side-scrolling gameplay.
His most recent videogame appearance was in another Capcom game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, where his appearance was modeled from his character design in the aforementioned Strider 2 (which was consequently used for his character design in the first Marvel vs. Capcom). His looks in this new game resembles his old design, albeit with noticeable updates. Namco Bandai has released an update to Tekken Revolution—the latest game in the Tekken series—and it includes a LOT of things. So far, the update has only been released in Japan, and it's a wonder when the update will be made available the other regions.
Honoring the requests from multitudes of fans, TRev now has the "Warm-up Space" Practice Mode. You will get to have time practicing your moves and combos before you head off to face online opponents. The in-game PlayStation®Store menu has been updated with purchasable alternate costumes for all the playable characters--some of which are throwbacks to previous Tekken games. The unstable enigma returns! The Ultimate Warrior from parts unknown makes his appearance in the sports-entertainment (because WWE has long stopped referring to it as pro-wrestling) videogame, WWE 2K14. He will be available as an exclusive pre-order bonus. WWE 2K14 is the first videogame in the entire WWE videogame series to be published by 2K Sports after its previous publisher THQ filed for bankruptcy in 2012.
Announced at EVO '13, Capcom will release a new update to Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. The update will be called Ultra Street Fighter IV. This new update will include five new characters, six new stages/backgrounds, and a completely rebalanced gameplay based on fan feedback.
