As the San Diego Comic Con trailer for Tekken 7 suggests, the game will be the final chapter in the tragic tale of the Mishima clan.
Kazumi Mishima, Heihachi's wife and mother to Kazuya, is seen monologuing as if she is speaking to someone, asking him to stop Heihachi in her behalf when she meets her fate. Then we are brought to the present, where we see the father and the son face off on top of a raging volcano, with the camera zooming in on Heihachi as he sees a vision of his son transforming into Devil, and then he sees another vision of another Devil entity, who is most likely Kazumi. The next scene goes back in time and practically confirms this fact as Kazumi talks about how the young Kazuya had inherited her powers, alluding to the Devil Gene. She is also aware of Heihachi's own power and fears what he can do to Kazuya and to countless others, so she takes it upon herself to stop the man she loves. ...And it's now in development. It was revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Capcom has given the go signal for the proposed sequel to Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist following the success of the miniseries. Aptly entitled Street Fighter: World Warrior, the story will follow Ryu and Ken in their musha shugyo (warrior's pilgrimage) after parting ways with their master Gouken up to their eventual involvement in the World Warrior tournament, organized by Shadaloo.
Mike Moh, Christian Howard and Joey Ansah will reprise their role as Ryu, Ken and Gouki/Akuma, but not a lot of big details have been revealed about who will play other fan favorites, such as Chun-Li, Sagat, Guile, Zangief and the others. Aside from revealing the big news about the sequel, Ansah, along with Moh and Gaku Space, announced on their offical Facebook fan page that the DVD and Blu-Ray copies of the miniseries will be released in October. The collection includes blooper reels, four deleted scenes and a fifteen-minute epilogue. World Warrior will tentatively be released in late 2015 or early 2016. And it's a wonder how they'll deal with the name issues between Mike Bison, Balrog and Vega. Source: Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist on Facebook Tekken God Katsuhiro Harada recently tweeted that he's "supervising" the production of an upcoming Tekken figurine. The tweet is accompanied by this picture that gives fans a nice view. The sneak preview is that of none other than Jun Kazama for Kotobukiya's Tekken Bishoujo series. The extent of Harada-san's supervision, however, is unclear.
Tekken God Katsuhiro Harada, along with the crew that run Tekken's official Facebook page, shared a poll regarding a new character that they'll include in a future update to Tekken Revolution. The choices include original character concepts that have been previously proposed but were never actually created, characters who have been part of Tekken's story but not as playable characters, like Tougou (Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign) and Shin Kamiya (Tekken: Blood Vengeance), and concepts as ridiculous as a flailing salmon. The poll was closed on July 14; the votes have been cast, and the results are as follows: But the voting didn't end there.
Man of Steel director Zack Snyder visited the Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con to drop a bombshell. He acted like he couldn't quite do it himself, that he called for the help of Harry Lennix. Lennix then delivered this quote: "I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come. In all your private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you." —Batman to Superman, The Dark Knight Returns And then this logo appears on the giant screen... It highly suggested that the Man of Steel movie will have a sequel, and it will feature Gotham City's Dark Knight.
The Marvel panel at the San Diego Comic-Con revealed exciting news about not one, not two, but six Marvel movies.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the filming of Thor 2 is almost done; concept artworks for Captain America 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy have been revealed; and The Avengers 2 gets its official title. Meanwhile, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to face a new enemy in his film's sequel, and the X-Men are set to revisit the past to correct the future. Let the title of this article speak for itself; a one-of-a-kind, 9-foot-9-inch robot makes its presence felt at the San Diego Comic-Con! A product of the collaborative efforts and resources of WIRED Magazine, YouTube, Stan Winston School, Legacy Effects and Conde Nast Entertainment, the robot took 24 days to be built, according to the robot itself, when asked by Mythbusters' Adam Savage. Recently at the San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom made a surprise reveal: a new Strider game is in the works. The game is currently being developed by Double Helix. Here's the announcement trailer. As the third entry in the classic action-adventure series based on the manga by Moto Kikaku, this new Strider game marks Hiryu's return to his roots after Strider 2 fifteen years ago. It will be re-imagined in a 2.5D environment, featuring 3D graphics and non-linear side-scrolling gameplay.
His most recent videogame appearance was in another Capcom game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, where his appearance was modeled from his character design in the aforementioned Strider 2 (which was consequently used for his character design in the first Marvel vs. Capcom). His looks in this new game resembles his old design, albeit with noticeable updates. |
