Capcom looked to redeem itself and wow the crowd in this year's PlayStation Experience (PSX) at the Anaheim Convention Center with two major reveals: First, a much-awaited character is finally making his return in Street Fighter V, and second, a new installment to the Marvel vs. Capcom series is going to be released next year!
This is late news, but it's only a matter of time before we see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in a DC Universe movie.
During the promotion of his most recent movie Hercules, Rock had hinted that he was in talks with DC to play the role of an iconic DC character in an untitled film project. He further teased that the character would be someone as strong as Hercules. Last week, he had posted the following tweet, revealing the mystery once and for all.
Rock will be playing the role of Black Adam in the film project about Shazam/Captain Marvel, and based on his tweet, the character will be more of an antihero than a full-fledged villain. He will also co-produce the film with Hiram Garcia, and Darren Lemke is set to write the film script.
If this film wraps up earlier than the much-awaited Batman vs. Superman film, then we might also be in for a treat in a possible future Justice League movie with Rock in it.
Now, do you smell what the Rock is cookin'?
