Just mere hours after I finished posting about Famitsu's teaser on Project X Zone 2: Brave New World's latest set of characters, news broke out on the identity of the seven new allies and four new enemies in the game. And after presumably meeting his end in his final Sega Saturn commercial appearance in 1998, the legendary Sega master joins the roster of PXZ2, returning to action for the first time in 17 years!
Hiroshi Fujioka, the iconic star of the original Kamen Rider series who portrayed Sanshiro-shishō in all of those epic Sega Saturn commercials, will once again lend his voice to Sega's resident badass.
Zephyr, Leanbell/Leanne and Vashyron (End of Eternity/Resonance of Fate) return from PXZ, this time with the boys pairing up while the young lady goes solo. Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) also returns as a solo unit, joined by newcomer June Lin Milliam (Star Gladiator/Plasma Sword) and Captain Commando, returning from Namco X Capcom.
Also revealed are the identities of four new enemy characters: Bulleta/Baby Bonnie Hood (Vampire/Darkstalkers), Shadow (Space Channel 5), Zagi (Tales of Vesperia) and Azure Kite (.hack).
Endnote: The Saturn is long gone, so I don't think we'll ever hear Sanshiro-shishō say "Sega Saturn, shiro!" again; not that I'm imagining him saying "Nintendo 3DS, shiro!" or something, anyway. But I'm absolutely sure that once again, we'll finally get to hear his epic themesong, this time in PXZ2.
I'm looking forward to seeing jokes about when Sanshiro-shishō dated Sakura Shinguji.
Anyway, be right back, I'll just shed some more manly tears.
